Reflections

Gorgon Medusa. Mirror of Memory” by Lilia Osipova

She’s caught gazing upon her stony image
Eyes peering longingly at her reflection
Refusing to see her now ugly visage
She lets her mind believe its own deception
In trials and tribulations she is well versed
Living the life of one forever cursed
Her hair may be writhing with venomous snakes
It’s what’s hidden inside that makes her heart break

It’s what’s hidden inside that makes her heart break
The beauty that people always fail to see
Knowing that her gaze will put their lives at stake
Not taking any chances, they turn and flee
Leaving her, always so sad and so alone
Lest they be stuck, turned forever into stone
Since all are threatened by her stony gaze
She’ll be alone until the end of her days

She’ll be alone until the end of her days
Always wishing for some reason to rejoice
To perhaps be caught in some ones loving gaze
Hear the tenderness and love within their voice
Shattering what has become reality
Taking her to a place of surreality
Forever breaking the lonesome, horrid curse
Calming tribulations that are her life’s verse

A calming of tribulations in her life
Is feeling she will never get to know
She is bound forever by trial and strife
Until she’s finally dealt that fatal blow

She’s caught gazing on her reflection shown
Seeing someone forever to be unknown
Wishing, just once, she could turn her heart to stone

An Angel in Flight (Angelic Cries #5)

angelic wings clipped
she struggles internally
longing to be free,
yet, longing to be held
captive,
a complexity
in and of itself
she needs both, and neither
at the same time
and so, partially mended
she takes flight
leaving it all behind

Her Salty Tears Flowed (Angelic Cries #4)

Her head down, salty tears flowed, stinging her eyes
Running over the hands covering her face
As her chest heaves with anguish filled, painful sighs
She thinks on the choices that brought her disgrace
Being caught in a web of entangled lies
and it was all because her faith was misplaced
The Devil tempted her in ways never heard
Faith lost, she gave in to his silver-tongued words.
Feeding her desires with silver-tongued words

He soon became the only thought in her head,
and as her subconscious warnings went unheard
She bought into the lustful words that he said
The choices of right and wrong becoming blurred
Her innocence was lost in his silk lined bed
Succumbing to desires buried within
She allowed him to claim her time and again

He claimed her body as his time and again
Using her only to fill his lustful needs
His will was her god and his words were ordained
She placed her trust in them to never mislead
So, she ignored his leers and his rakish grin
Whenever he wanted to feed her his seed
For, she craved the feel of his throbbing release
And always prayed his attentions wouldn’t cease

She prayed for his attentions to never cease
But found that her prayers fell on deaf ears
As an angel that craved the Devil’s hot release.
It felt like her wings were clipped with ragged shears
When he tossed her aside, innocence fleeced.
Realizing she was living her darkest fears
Fallen, she collapsed, screaming with mournful cries
Her head down, salty tears flowed, stinging her eyes

Washing Away the Pain (Angelic Cries #3)

Losing her heart, came with a cost
She kneels feeling alone and lost
Missing his touch on her skin
Her lust for life is growing thin
Raven hair plastered by the rain
She tries to wash away the pain

The drops run slowly down her cheeks
She turns her gaze to the sky to seek
Answers for why she must always cry
Thunder is the it’s only reply
Kneeling there feeling the hard rain
She tries to wash away the pain

Raindrops fall mixing with her tears
They’re mingling with her anxious fears
Fearing she will always be alone
There is no hope from heaven shown
Skin getting pelted by the rain
She tries to wash away the pain

The lightning flashes in the sky
Is it her love saying goodbye?
Is the thunder his booming voice
Trying to say she has a choice
Feeling his kisses in drops of rain
She tries to wash away the pain

Sad, Angelic Cries (Angelic Cries, #2)

She descends to the barren earth
Her laughter gone, devoid of mirth
There she rests upon a headstone
Of someone forgotten and unknown
She rests there, with tears in her eyes
Crying out with sad, angelic cries

Holding the headstone in her grip
She bites down angrily on her lip
Biting back words she longs to speak
In fear of being seen as weak
Salty tears running from her eyes
Crying out with sad, angelic cries

Feeling the stone threaten to crumble
The sky above her starts to rumble
As if it is starting to react
To the breaking of her solemn pact
A fierce look is filling her eyes
Crying out with sad, angelic cries

The solemn pact she had broken
When their first words were spoken
She knew better than to fall in love
With someone that wasn’t from above
She watched him die before her eyes
Crying out with sad, angelic cries

Now she comes here every year
To shout out to all that will hear
It’s hell to love a mortal soul
Because their death will take its toll
Making you want to tear our your eyes
Crying out with sad, angelic cries

An Angel, Lost (Angelic Cries, #1)

An angel, lost, without her wings
Facing whatever fate may bring
Trapped in a field with windswept hair
Waiting, hoping someone would care to hear her sing

An angel, lost, singing the blues
Waiting, hoping to be rescued
For her love to sweep her away
To catch her, take her faraway, to somewhere new

An angel, lost, seeking his arms
Wanting the protection from harm
Is it too much to hope for love
Waiting, praying to God above, for love’s warm arms
